Description
Surgical Nursing (PB) students explore courses covering perioperative nursing care, surgical techniques, patient safety in surgery, and surgical instrumentation. Through clinical practicums, operating room rotations, and surgical simulations, students develop skills in assisting surgeons, managing surgical equipment, and ensuring aseptic technique. The curriculum also addresses topics such as anesthesia management, surgical complications, and postoperative care. With a focus on specialized nursing skills and interdisciplinary collaboration, students are prepared for certification exams such as the Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) or the Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM). Graduates pursue careers as perioperative nurses in operating rooms, ambulatory surgical centers, specialty clinics, or surgical wards.
